Hot Diggity Donuts

Before this spot opened a few months ago, I (Shamara) remember passing the "coming soon"  sign everyday as I headed to work. The sign and name were so cute that I couldn't wait to try it once it opened. Sweet treats has got to be one of my guilty pleasures. It's not that I (Harrison) don't like deserts, its just something I prefer to have in moderation. Anyway, we finally got to try this fun, retro spot!

One thing we love is how cozy and minimal this spot is; grab a donut, get a cocktail, end with some coffee or tea and you're all set. This is the perfect spot for a lite weekend brunch or after work. We went after church and it hit the spot!

Donut time!!! Thankfully, HDD doesn't overwhelm you with options. The donuts are made to order and come in six totally different flavors. We tried every flavor, except for Mocha (we aren't too big on coffee flavored food). Don't feel the need to order more than one donut, while they are not big donuts, they are very sweet and filling.

My favorite was the Lemon Poppy (Harrison), sweet but the lemon adds a nice touch of sour.  My favorite was the Blackberry Cobbler (Shamara), don't be fooled the blackberry is just a glaze and it's yummy.

Hope you enjoyed this feature on Hayes Buds!
